DRAMATISASI NOVEL SERAT CENTHINI JILID I SEBAGAI PENGUAT LITERASI BUDAYA PEMELAJAR

Abstract

This paper is a pilot project, offered as a strategy to strengthen cultural literacy in Indonesian language and literature learning. The strategy offered is to utilize the adaptation of one of Javanese literary masterpieces, Serat Centhini Volume I novel, and the method used is transformation; from prose to drama or dramatization. The process undertaken during the transformation will cause learners to gain an in-depth understanding and interpretation of the work of art, thereby strengthening their literacy.
