AN ANALYSIS OF FRESH GRADUATE ENGLISH TEACHER IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING

ABSTRACT 

This study aimed to investigate teachers’ pedagogical competence in teaching English based on Curriculum 2013. Descriptive qualitative method was employed and an English Teacher in MTs Ar-rohmah was involved as the respondent of this study. Data were collected through questionnaire, interview, and observation. The findings of this research revealed that the teacher has 3 competences such as pedagogical, personal and professional competence. The data showed that the teacher used various teaching method that make students involved actively in teaching and learning process. In addition, the teacher also involved actively in conference as the presenter. Furthermore, the teacher also is well prepared in designing the lesson plan and teaching media. However, the challenges in English Language Teaching deal with the time and learning facility.
