PEMBELAJARAN DARING BAHASA INDONESIA PADA MATERI TEKS SURAT PRIBADI DAN SURAT DINAS DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE DIRECT INSTRUCTION PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

Abstract

This study uses descriptive statistical data analysis techniques on the results of online learning to write personal letters and official letters using the direct instruction method during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research subjects were 37 students of VIIF SMP Negeri 2 Cimahi. This study aims, (1) describe the steps of learning to write official letters and personal letters using the direct instruction method, (2) describe the effectiveness of online media on learning to write official letters and personal letters using the direct instruction method, and (3) describe student responses and teachers for learning to write official letters and personal letters using the direct instruction method. Ronald's descriptive statistics theory. E Walpole is used to study research results, direct instruction theory according to Trianto (2012). The results of the research data on the average assignment show that of the 37 respondents, 34 people have very good criteria, 3 people have good criteria, and 0 people have moderate and poor criteria. So that the average ability of students in class VII-F to have online learning material to write personal letters and official letters using the direct instruction method is very good. It can be concluded that the method used in online learning was effective in helping improve student understanding.
